DIY how to wall tile lay and glue wall tiles to

bathroom, toilet, kitchen & laundry walls

Any wall to be tiled must first be clean of all old tile glue dirt & dust. Foremost any wall that will be exposed to water must also have a water proof membrane behind the new tiles. For water proofing membranes in wet areas, see our waterproofing page. You may need to tile over a kitchen bench top for a splash back, tile around the bottom of a toilet floor, above a laundry sink, inside a shower, over a bath tub. what ever the job may be any tiles to be laid must be laid level and square! if this practice is not taken while laying the tiles you will very disappointed with your work. If you do not feel comfortable tiling the wall please call a professional tiler to do the job, witch might save you money and time in the long run. If you are confident in doing the tiling job, these are some of the tools and materials you will require. Tile cutter, glue, grout, sponge to apply the grout, glue trowel for applying the glue, tile spacers, these are the little plastic crosses that space your tiles evenly apart when laying your tiles.
